Good News continues!

Two of our funding bids have been successful as both The Lakes Parish Council and the Lake District National Park have given financial support to our organisation to help us turn our Ambleside hillside into an allotment site we can be proud of.

News of our Grasmere allotments can be read in our latest Newsletter and one of our members is enjoying a productive arrangement using 'gardenshare' with a generous Ambleside resident. Our new site is now agreed and the work can begin ...

OK we know that we existed already but the AAA now offically exists with a Consitution, elected officers and an elected Steering Committee. A big thanks to everyone who turned out on a pretty horrible Monday evening formally to launch the association and to hear the latest news. Pete Martin did a great job of chairing the meeting, ably assisted on the night by the out-going and in-coming committee folk who carried out a variety of tasks. Pete also took the opportunity of thanking Jane Durrant the out-going Chair for all her hard work over the last year; without Jane's huge effort we could not have come this thanks Jane and we look forward to welcoming you to an allotment site when you come back and visit us.

The committee meets monthly.
